About Me

My name is Bethany and I opened High Frequency Electrology to provide a safe and warm space for all to come and have their unwanted hair issues resolved.  I have been practicing Electrology for 8 years and I strive to provide a high quality service to the community. I went through the process myself and I remember how much the hair growth on my face got in the way of my life and lowered my self esteem. I am passionate about helping others through this process and helping them feel their best.  Having unwanted hair isn’t just an aesthetic issue, it is also a health related issue and can affect the mental health of certain individuals. Electrolysis permanent hair removal is a method of destroying and removing individual hairs from the body.  A very small probe is inserted into each follicle and very high heat energy or electrical current is used to destroy the cells and tissue in the follicle to prevent it from growing again. After the follicle is sufficiently treated, the hair will be removed with a tweezer.

The amount of sessions needed varies from person to person. However, several treatments are usually needed.  Factors such as hair density and hormonal influences might require the client to receive more treatments.  A consultation is always recommended to determine a better estimate.

Electrolysis hair removal is the only method approved by the FDA to be permanent and after receiving sufficient treatments it is guaranteed to be permanent.  It is safe and effective for all skin types and any color of hair.  You can be very specific and thorough when going into each individual hair follicle.  

Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses a laser or concentrated beam of light to destroy hair follicles.  It is only approved to be a permanent reduction of hair and is sometimes only temporary.  It is usually only ideal for people with lighter skin and darker hair.  Light colored hair should not be treated with laser and certain skin types are at a higher risk. Laser is sometimes helpful in treating thick and dark hair in dense areas of the body like the bikini line and underarms however electrolysis will be needed to finish the job.  

You should do your research and consult with a professional before deciding which option is best for you.  Electrolysis can be an intimate process so make sure you find someone you’re comfortable with.
